The Lotus QuickPlace Collaborative Zones are a premiere element of the Arctic Blast
expedition - offered to the first 1000 schools to register
within North America (due to capacity restrictions).
|
|
Made possible by Lotus QuickPlace technology,
Collaboration Zones provide in-depth coverage of topics ranging from winter ecology to world resource use.
The Lotus QuickPlace Collaboration Zones enhance learning by letting students interact with the information they are
studying. Within
8 Collaboration Zones you and your students can experience REAL online collaboration.
Students
can answer discussion questions, participate in collaborative
activities, surveys, and Lotus Sametime moderated chats in a safe,
easily navigated environment. Working
with hundreds of other classrooms across the North American
continent and spurred by the relevant topics, students are pulled
by the polar huskies and encouraged to tap into their personal
thoughts. |
 |
Teachers
can manage class activities, projects, and share lesson
plans with other teachers, online, simply by using a
standard Web browser.
Documents
and presentations can be compared
and contrasted regardless of compatible programs. Imagine..
Collaborate without the worry!
Advantages
of Lotus QuickPlace
-It's instant - the collaboration is immediate.
-Easy to learn, just point and click. No difficult HTML |

How can
a teacher have access to a QuickPlace ?
If your school is one of the first thousand to register, you
are automatically enrolled into the QuickPlace Collaboration
Zone. Upon registration you will be sent an email with your
username and password. You will only be able to access Lotus QuickPlace if
you have been emailed a user id and password. Please do not share
the username and password with your students.

and the hosting provided by Connectria, the dynamic learning environment of Arctic Blast
